Overview
The course aims to respond to the current societal challenge of sustainable water management in the urban cycle, always bearing in mind the issues associated with global change (climate and anthropogenic) and the current drought scenario. In this sense, the programme is based on three main pillars: urban water infrastructure, sustainable water management (origins, quality, uses and reuse) and water governance (economics, policies and regulation).

Objetives

  • Enable professionals with different training base, to work in team, cross-and multidisciplinary way, answering to the new challenges in urban water cycle, in a global changes scenario
  • Qualify the students to develop expertise in the different areas of urban water infrastructure, sustainable water management (origins, quality, use and reuse) and water governance (economic, political and regulatory)
  • Training students to meet different geographical realities, preparing them to participate in water management locally, nationally and internationally

Operating Mode

Opening hours: Friday from 09:00 to 19:00 and Saturday from 09:00 to 13:30

Tuition and Fees 2024/2025

National Students: 

first year curriculum: 1100€

other curricular year: 1100€

International Students*:  

first year curriculum: 2000€

other curricular year: 2000€

Application Fee: 50 Euros

Registration Fee and School Insurance: 175 Euros

Note: The tuition of this course can be paid in 10 installments, being the first at the time of registration and the remaining in the months of October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May and June.

* in accordance with Decree-Law No. 36/2014, changed by Decree-Law No.62/2018, of 6th August, international students are nationals of a country which is not a Member State of the European Union and are not a legally resident in Portugal for more than 2 uninterrupted years by 1st of January of the enrolment year
