CES Summer School “Critical approaches to the sustainable transformation”
The Centre for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra, in close collaboration with the Centre for Research in Tourism, Sustainability and Well-being (CinTurs) and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve, is organising the Summer School "Critical approaches to the sustainable transformation", which will take place between July 15 and 20, 2024, at FE, Gambelas Campus.
It is centred on the challenges of transformation, sustainability and technological development. It aims to bring together doctoral students, young researchers and others interested in this subject, from all areas of science, to debate the possibilities of sustainable transformation. Bringing together international experts who will help frame the theme, the School will promote a series of training and methodological activities and study visits, which are fundamental to the development of research into the links between science, technology and innovation and society.
The initiative is organised by Hugo Pinto, Professor at the Faculty of Economics and an integrated researcher at CinTurs and a collaborating member of CES, and Rita Campos, a researcher at CES, in the context of the European BioAssembler project. It also involves a number of colleagues from CinTurs, CES and other research institutions.
Students on study programmes at the University of the Algarve benefit from a payment reduction.
