The curriculum of this Master aims to build knowledge through nursing theory, research methodology, communication skills, management of critical scenarios and practice based on evidence. Our main goals are to provide a structured training program in order to prepare experienced nurses for services in acute and complex care practices, such as critical care, emergency and trauma settings. At the end of this program, nurses will be prepared to manage critical health problems, bringing clinical expertise to acute care and lead the care management processes, aspects which are essential in extreme working environments, such as the ones in critical care, emergency and trauma settings. Nurses will be able to set priorities during critical patients care, make accurate assessments and an effective ongoing management of care in distinct populations.
