Overview
The Structural Eurocodes are a set of European Standards (EN) concerning the design of building structures and other civil engineering works, made with different materials. Decree-Law No. 95/2019, of July 18, 2019, revoked the national regulations that were then in force in this field, as well as establishing new rules for the rehabilitation and strengthening of buildings.

In this context, Normative Order no. 21/2019, of September 17, 2019, stipulated the Structural Eurocodes as the new regulatory basis to be applied in the design of new structures, foreseeing, however, a transitional period of three years for its full implementation.

From September 18, 2022, the regulations currently still in force, namely the RSA, REBAP and REAE, can no longer be used in the preparation of any projects, and the use of the Structural Eurocodes will become imperative.

Operating Mode

The open course will be taught as distance learning using the Zoom platform. It will run after working hours, starting at 6pm, with eight independent modules, and trainees may attend as many modules as they wish.

The "Metallic and Mixed Structures" module will take place on 19, 26 and 28 January, 2 and 4 February 2022, between 6pm and 9pm, for a total of 15 hours.

The structure of the modules ranges from the initial to the most advanced, in order to allow its attendance by trainees with various levels of knowledge.
