Paulo Taveira, a pupil of teacher Lara Almeida, took first place with 23,546 points and ended the school year with 20 out of 20 in Mathematics A. The student was given an iPad as a prize.

The MILAGE APRENDER+ app, in addition to contributing to achieve excellence, also made working in collaboration and cooperation with other colleagues possible.

At the award ceremony, the pupil thanked her, emphasising: “on the one hand, I needed my colleagues to solve the problems so that I could correct them and, on the other hand, to correct the problems that I did to achieve the highest number of points possible".  In other words, “I managed to work for excellence, while encouraging other colleagues to do the exercises, contributing to the success of everyone”.

This tool is able to motivate and help all students. After a level-2 pupil and a level-3 pupil won in the previous year, and both improved, this year a pupil of excellence won, finding challenging activities on the platform and, at the same time, stimulating colleagues.

The MILAGE APRENDER+ project is coordinated by Mauro Figueiredo, professor at the Higher Engineering Institute of the University of Algarve. It is supported by the General Directorate of Education, Mathematics Teachers Association, Portuguese Teachers Association, Portuguese Press Association, Braga City Council, Lagoa City Council, Oeiras City Council, Silves City Council, INCoDe, with the support Turbine Kreuzberg, SPIC, Visualforma, Dengun, The Inventors, Vilalara Thalassa Resort, Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection, Oura Ocean Front, Conii Hostel, and the European Union's ERASMUS+ programme, LEARN+ and INCOLLAB projects.
