Objectives
The MSc course in Biomedical Sciences aims to train professionals who can master the concepts and techniques of medicine and molecular biology from the perspective of fundamental or applied biomedical research, technological development or diagnosis. Several courses allow the specialization in areas as diverse as molecular medicine, gene therapy, bio-nanotechnology and regenerative medicine.
At the end of the second cycle, the Masters in Biomedical Sciences will have acquired skills in specific areas of life and health sciences. This shall provide access to positions as laboratory technicians active in the area of biology and medical genetics (research, analysis, diagnosis in the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals and others). May pursue a career as assistants in research teams, preferably in laboratories that conduct their activity in the area of health sciences or development of products with biomedical application, such as prostheses, pacemakers, equipment and diagnostic kits, biomaterials for implants,
etc. are preferably formed to alternately choose a career in basic or applied scientific research in the field of biomedicine, in which case they can choose to proceed their training with a third cycle of studies, ending with a doctorate degree.
