Alvise Barbieri is a young and experienced geoarcheologist, who earned his PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) at the University of Tübingen in January 2019. His career has been focusing on research (5 peer-reviewed papers, 4 book contributions, 14 presentation at international conferences) as much as the diffusion of scientific culture (e.g conceptualization and set-up of innovative museum exhibition, design of an affordable 3D printed microscope for developing countries). Despite a "Junior Researcher", he demonstrates a promising independence and maturity, for example by publishing without his PhD supervisors, managing students and teams, teaching in university, organizing events for academics and general public, and ability to acquire competitive funding (112.656,79 Euros).
