Alvise Barbieri is a young and experienced geoarcheologist, who earned his PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) at the University of Tübingen in January 2019. His career has been focusing on research (7 peer-reviewed papers, 4 book contributions, 17 presentations at international conferences, 3 invited talks at research institutes) as much as the diffusion of scientific culture (e.g conceptualization and realization of educational products including an affordable 3D-printed microscope for developing countries). Despite a "Junior Researcher", he demonstrates a promising independence and maturity, as shown by his international network, ability to conceptualize and write a successful grant proposal as PI, secure funding for a total value of 112.656,79 Euros, manage project finances, hire collaborators, supervise students, publish without his PhD supervisors, teaching in university, and organizing events for academics and general public.
