Kate Torkington. Concluiu o PhD in Applied Linguistics em 2011 pela Lancaster University, UK; MA in Applied Linguistics em 1998 pela Cardiff University e Bachelor (BA Hons) in French Literature and Language em 1985 pela University of Sheffield. É Professor Adjunto na Universidade do Algarve e Co-Editora da revista científica Dos Algarves: A Multidisciplinary e-Journal. É investigadora integrada e membro da Comissão Coordenadora do CiTUR - Centro de Investigação, Desenvolvimento e Inovação em Turismo (polo CiTUR Algarve). Publicou vários artigos em revistas especializadas e capítulos de livros. Participou na organização de vários eventos científicos. Coorientou 1 tese de doutoramento. Participa atualmente em 2 projetos.
