If you already have a university degree and want to obtain another Bachelor’s or Integrated Master's degree, you can submit an online application for the special competitive processes intended for holders of other university degree. This is done on the Application Portal, during the application period to be advertised on the UAlg website.

At the same time, if you wish, and provided that you have completed your secondary education, you can apply for another course through the national competition by registering to sit the secondary school entrance exams and passing them. You would then formalise your application for higher education in the manner set out on the website of the Directorate-General for Higher Education.

You can also sign up for the Access Tests for those over the age of 23 and formalise your online application via the Special Competitions.

If you have international student status, as regulated by Decree-Law no. 36/2014, of 10 March, amended and republished by Decree-Law no. 62/2018, of 6 August, you will not be able to apply through the Special Competitions .
