CAPLE Exams

UAlg has an exam center, in collaboration with the Center for Assessment and Certification of Portuguese as a Foreign Language (CAPLE) at the University of Lisbon.

The Portuguese Foreign Language Assessment and Certification Center (CAPLE) certifies foreign candidates at the following levels:

Exam QCRL
CIPLE - Initial Certificate of Portuguese as a Foreign Language A2
DEPLE - Elementary Diploma of Portuguese as a Foreign Language B1
DIPLE - Intermediate Diploma of Portuguese as a Foreign Language B2
DAPLE - Advanced Diploma of Portuguese as a Foreign Language C1
DUPLE - University Diploma of Portuguese as a Foreign Language C2

The CAPLE Exams take place at the University of Algarve, in Faro, on the Penha campus, both in the ESGHT building and in the Pedagogical Complex.

After registering, you have 24 hours to pay the exam fee.

You can make the payment by MULTIBANCO or MBWay (only available in Portugal) or by credit card. After making the payment, you receive confirmation of registration.

Exams From Previous Years

Certification

These certificates are internationally recognized, according to the standards of the ALTE Association (Association of Language Testers in Europe), which brings together, among others, institutions such as the Goethe-Institut, Instituto Cervantes, and the University of Cambridge.

Certificates may be collected by candidates at the ESGHT secretariat.
