Biotechnology
Biotechnology is an emerging scientific area concerning the interaction between biology and technology.
It aggregates competences in the areas of molecular biology, cell and tissue technology and their application to the food processing industry, pharmaceutical drug production or quality control.
The main objective of the study programme is to train biotechnologists with consolidated theoretical and practical knowledge in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetic engineering, immunology, virology, animal and plant cell technology, food biotechnology, environmental biotechnology and bioinformatics.
