In the scope of the NonConspiraHate! project, the seminar “Hate Speech in Social Networks: A Socio-Technical perspective” will take place on the 4th of October, between 2pm and 5pm, at the 1.4 room, at the Penha Campus.

In this event, which will be attended by NonConspirateHate! project collaborators, knowledge and experiences on the automatic detection of hate speech and conspiracy theories in social networks, will be shared.

Drawing reflections from the book "TEORÍAS DE LA CONSPIRACIÓN Y DISCURSOS DE ODIO EN LÍNEA EN LA SOCIEDAD DE LAS PLATAFORMAS", Dykinson, 2024 (Madrid, Spain), the seminar aims at showcasing the inherent complexity and interdisciplinary nature of this problem.

The event is aimed to teachers, students, and researchers from technological areas such as computer science, and informatics engineering, as well as from social and human sciences including psychology, sociology and health sciences.

The seminar, which will take place in a hybrid format, is free of charge, but requires registration, which should be made until September 30 here.
