Doctoral Program in Marine, Earth and Environmental Science: Duration: 4 years (total of 240 ECTS) Deadline for applications: This PhD program is permanently open and applications can be accepted at anytime.The degree is awarded in one of the following scientific areas: Biological Sciences Environmental Sciences and Technology Marine Sciences Geosciences Fishery Sciences and Technology These different majors have a similar curriculum, including Thesis (210 ECTS), Seminars (6 ECTS), Thesis Plan (4 ECTS) and Optional Courses (20 ECTS). Optional Courses include syllabus courses (from other graduate degree programs), advanced training courses or internships in any scientific area, previously approved by the Coordinating Committee under supervisor´s advisement.Objectives
The main objectives of the PhD Program in Marine, Earth and Environmental Sciences are: to promote advanced formation, multi and interdisciplinary in scientific areas related with Environmental, Marine and Earth Sciences; to build scientific capacity at a high level, enabling the trainee to form a research group at cutting edge areas or to easily integrate at relevant national or international research teams, participating or coordinating research projects.Acquired Skills and Competences Development of skills and scientific training at the highest level, including scientific analysis, innovation, critical thinking, decision-making and independent research work. Enable doctoral students to do research in cutting edge fields and to be integrated in international research teams, being prepared for future participation and coordination of research projects. Development of entrepreneurship skills and specific tools applied to the industrial and production sector.

Target Public 1st or 2nd cycle in Marine, Earth or Environmental Sciences. Holders of a 1st cycle must have a relevant academic and scientific curriculum.
