University of Algarve obtains Healthy Campus certificate
The Healthy Campus World Certification programme, created by FISU, involves universities from more than 30 countries and seeks to contribute to the promotion of health and well-being on university campuses.
This programme evaluates Higher Education Institutions in two-year cycles. The first cycle consists of a self-assessment, while the second is based on a local audit.
To obtain this certificate, the University of Algarve had to demonstrate the good practices it develops in several indicators, distributed over seven domains: physical activity and sport; nutrition; prevention of diseases; mental and social health; risk behaviours; environment, sustainability and social responsibility; healthy campus management.
