UAlg academic year begins with welcome session for new students

The University of Algarve invites all new students to take part in a welcome session on 18 September at 8.45am at the Penha Municipal Pavilion in Faro.

As well as welcoming new national and international students, the initiative also aims to help them integrate fully not only into university life, but also into the city and region that hosts them.

The ceremony on Monday 18th September (8.45am) at the Penha Municipal Pavilion (Faro) will begin with speeches by the mayor of Faro, Rogério Bacalhau, followed by the president of the Academic Association, Fábio Zacarias, and the rector of the University of Algarve, Paulo Águas, who will close the session.

The session will also feature a performance by singer-songwriter Marta Lima.

Families and friends are invited to watch the live broadcast of this session on the following channels YouTube and Facebook

At the end of the session, students from the Gambelas Campus will be given free transport to the venue via the Próximo transport network.
