SEA-EU Staff Week promotes health and well-being across campuses
The initiative brings together around 20 professionals from the nine partner universities of the SEA-EU alliance, working in the fields of health, sport, student well-being and university life, with the aim of sharing good practices and strengthening European cooperation in the promotion of health and well-being in higher education.
Throughout the week, participants are involved in workshops, round tables and collaborative sessions dedicated to topics such as mental health, physical activity, healthy eating, quality of life and student support, as well as discussions on future joint initiatives in the areas of mobility, teaching and Health Sciences.
The University of Algarve is represented by the Pro-Rector for Sport and Student Support, Elsa Pereira, and by Nuno Rodrigues, coordinator of the Sports Office of the Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAUAlg). The programme also includes practical well-being activities, visits to sports facilities and networking moments among participants.
This Staff Week reinforces the importance of cooperation between the universities of the SEA-EU alliance in building healthier, more inclusive and people-centred campuses focused on the well-being of the academic community.
