UAlg lecturers take part in SEA-EU International Week on Multilingualism
The initiative brought together experts from the partner universities of the SEA-EU Alliance to reflect on the role of multilingualism in higher education, exploring its relationship with learning, identity and inclusion through thematic sessions, presentations and collaborative activities. Throughout the event, the importance of linguistic diversity as a factor in bringing cultures closer together was also highlighted, fostering mutual understanding and the development of a more inclusive and interconnected academic community.
Within the framework of Task 4.6 – SEA-EU Language Policy, dedicated to the Alliance’s language policy, the UAlg lecturers took part in the experts’ meeting and participated in the “SEA-EU Talks” session, where they presented the topic “Plurilingualism in Multilingual Higher Education: Insights from UAlg and Contributions to SEA-EU”, sharing national experience and the contribution of the University of Algarve to the development of a multilingual approach in the European context.
UAlg’s participation in this initiative reinforces its commitment to promoting multilingualism and linguistic diversity in higher education, contributing to the development of more inclusive, collaborative and culturally open practices within the SEA-EU Alliance.
