UAlg participation in BIP at the University of Split strengthens European cooperation
Participation in this programme enabled engagement with students and academic staff from different European institutions, fostering a multicultural and collaborative learning environment. Throughout the mobility, a range of teaching and practical activities were carried out, focusing on the challenges of urban tourism, with particular emphasis on planning, monitoring and the sustainable development of destinations. The UAlg lecturers delivered modules dedicated to tourism product development, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and good practices from an international perspective.
The programme also included a field visit to the historic centre of Split, providing an opportunity to understand tourism dynamics in loco, observe the challenges associated with pressure on local infrastructure, and assess the importance of coordination among different stakeholders.
This initiative contributed to strengthening academic cooperation within the SEA-EU Alliance, promoting knowledge sharing, skills development and the consolidation of links between European higher education institutions.
