Also on a global level, this ranking once again considers the Algarve academy's strongest point to be its international projection, placing it 457th out of 1904 institutions evaluated from 108 countries.

In this edition, UAlg significantly improved its performance in three of the five areas under evaluation: Research Framework, Research Quality and Knowledge Transfer.

For the seventh consecutive year, UAlg is part of this world ranking of universities, which is now in its 20th edition, moving up its overall position to the 801-1000 group (up from the 1001-1200 group).

It should be noted that this edition included 1904 institutions, 105 more than in the previous year, as well as 769 institutions with reporter status because they did not meet the eligibility criteria for a position in the ranking.
